In the sunny Saskatchewan town of Southey, Paperback is hard at work producing a line of products that entice the senses and add flare to food and drink. With a focus on inclusive items that are suitable for many dietary restrictions, the products feature natural ingredients, sourced locally whenever possible. We at Paperback hope you enjoy our sauces, syrups, and beverages with your family and friends!
Paperback was formed in 2019 by restaurateur / bartender, Judd Stachoski and restaurateur / brewer, Ryan Nagel. Combining talents and ideas, the pair aimed to launch products that they felt were missing from the market on the Prairies. Beginning with their flagship product, a Vegan and Gluten-free Worcester Sauce, which helped them win Best Cocktail for a Vegan Bloody Mary at Beer Bacon Bands in 2019, they began to build a brand of new and exciting local products. Paperback has grown to produce a number of grocery items, finding their niche with the pre-mixed Caesar and plant-based Vaesar beverages, as well as the zero calorie Iced Tea and Lemonade, sweetened with natural Stevia, under the sub-brand CYBRPUNK.
Paperback also strives to be mindful of waste, creating products made from cooked off ingredients; Judd’s BBQ Sauce gets its signature zip from the blending of spices and vegetables reused from the production of our Worcester Sauce that would otherwise be discarded.
The team at Paperback Bev CO plans to release many more new products in 2020, including: a variety of soda pop flavors, Vegan Salad Dressings, and a line of Cocktail Syrups for home-mixology and restaurant bar use.
